Synthetic Zen Buddhalicious 2. Shire Spring Sunrise (Zc mix)
Length: 11:52. Envision the sky beginning to lighten over a Shire countryside, it is spring, so the weather is highly changeable from moment to moment, finally at the end, after a few thunderclouds, the sun bursts through over the horizon illuminating the beautiful green countryside. Originally a piano improvisation piece (read later in this posting), I then modified the composition to be a duet for Piano and Cello (currently in the works making a recording), meanwhile, I threw in some synths and such to make this version available sooner rather than later. Composed using my Casio Previa, Arturia 49 Lab, Logix Pro X. I originally came up with the basic melodic idea as a piano improvisation I recorded on my cellphone back in 2012. Finally this month I sat down and tried to recreate a variant (real time improvisation) with the keyboard hooked up to the computer, instead of just analog recording. The original analog recording can be found in my "Be" album (if you are interested) here (Drake says he likes that version better, what do you think?): http://syntheticzen.com/discography/2006-be/hawke-piano-improv-20121124.mp3/view Feedback is requested and appreciated. I hope you enjoy!
